As Chairman and CEO, Patricia Gallup concentrates on corporate vision and long-term strategy for the firm she co-founded in 1982 with partner David Hall. Starting with an initial investment of $8,000, Gallup and Hall oversaw the company's spectacular growth into a direct marketing powerhouse for computer products and technology solutions that in 1999 surpassed $1 billion in annual sales. Under Gallup's leadership, PC Connection completed an Initial Public Offering of its common stock in March 1998 and trades on the Nasdaq Exchange under the symbol PCCC. Gallup has appeared on Fortune Magazine's list of top young entrepreneurs and for three years has been named to Working Woman's list of the top 50 women business owners in the United States. She is a 1979 graduate of the University of Connecticut and in 1994 received its distinguished alumni award.
Bruce Barone Director
Bruce Barone has served on the Company's Board of Directors since June 2002. From December 1995 to December 1998, Mr. Barone was President and Chief Executive Officer of Overseas Partners Ltd. and Subsidiaries, a reinsurance and real-estate investment company. He also served on that company's Board of Directors. From September 1977 through December 1995, Mr. Barone was employed by United Parcel Service (UPS) in a variety of positions including Vice President of Finance and Vice President of Financial Planning. He also served as a member of both the UPS Finance and UPS Marketing committees. From December 1998 through the present, he has worked as an independent management consultant.
Joseph Baute Director
Joseph A. Baute has served on the Company's Board of Directors since June 2001. From 1979 to 1993, Mr. Baute served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Markem Corporation, an industrial marking and coding solutions provider. Since 1993, Mr. Baute has worked as an independent consultant. Mr. Baute has served on a number of Boards including Houghton-Mifflin Company and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, where he was Chairman, and is currently on the Board of Directors of State Street Bank Europe and the Dead River Company. Mr. Baute is a graduate of Dartmouth College, and served in the United States Marine Corps. He also holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College.
David Beffa-Negrini Director; Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing and Creative Services
David Beffa-Negrini has served on our Board of Directors since September 1994 and is currently Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing and Creative Services since February 2007. Mr. Beffa-Negrini served as Co-President of our Merrimack Services subsidiary from September 2005 to February 2007 and as Vice President of Corporate Communications from June 2000 to February 2007. Mr. Beffa‑Negrini has served the Company in a variety of senior management capacities in the areas of merchandising, marketing, and communications. He has been employed by the Company since 1983.
David Hall Director
Mr. David Hall co-founded PC Connection with Patricia Gallup in 1982. With a keen understanding of technology buying trends, Hall has been a driving force in developing the Company's vision for addressing changes in the high tech industry. Since the company's inception Hall has served the company in a variety of roles, including President, Treasurer, and Executive Vice President. He attended the University of New Hampshire at Durham where he studied Chemical Engineering.
Donald Weatherson Director
As a member of the Board of Directors of PC Connection, Inc., Mr. Donald Weatherson provides oversight and direction for the organization's senior executive staff. Weatherson joined the Board in 2005 after retiring from HP/Compaq Computer Corp., where he served as Compaq's Vice President of North America Operations & Strategy. In this role, Weatherson was responsible for all activities related to business and sales operations, customer satisfaction, call centers, and e-commerce in the United States. His initial assignment with Compaq included building a sales unit to serve the government and education markets handling federal, state, and local governments and public and private schools and universities. Before joining HP/Compaq, Weatherson was chief executive officer of the Navy Exchange System, a full-line retail services company operated by the U.S. Navy with 130 stores and 24,000 employees. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Viewpoint Corporation. Weatherson, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and career naval officer, achieved the grade of rear admiral prior to transferring to the private sector in 1994. His military background includes a long career in submarines and logistics.
